Description

Configure calls twice AM_PATH_PYTHON for 3 and 2.7 but the second call always fails so it does not work when no python3 can be found.

I have tested the commit d3db2d05a3a24f1f9e57f359a01e4d9a14249d09 and the issue seems to be gone on my system. You're ok to merge but perhaps you want to test it on wider range of systems before you do.

It is a pure autotool code so a priori not very system dependent...
I am merging it.
