Yes, this is just a feature idea to provide these files for others to use our libraries easily. This can be ignored for now.

The usage model has changed significantly. We don't think people will use kea libraries, maybe except libdhcp++. We may provide .pc files one day, but it's low priority for now.

I'm not sure what this ticket is exactly. pkg-config is the replacement for per-project configurations, right? Like botan-config, python-config, and so on?
Is this something we would use in our own build, or something we hope to provide for other people using our libraries?
